SVRR is a non-profit, non-commercial organization dedicated to the rehabilitation and welfare of the mentally challenged persons. The Society for the Vocational Rehabilitation of the Retarded (SVRR) was founded in the month of June 1965, by the laborious efforts of Smt. Nandini Divatia. She realized the lack of formal institution for the mentally challenged individuals. Her belief was that such individuals can be trained to tap their potential, in order to become self sufficient and independent.
