Society for the Vocational Rehabilitation of the Retarded (SVRR) is a non-profit, non-commercial organization dedicated to the rehabilitation and welfare of the Intellectually Disabled Trainees. What we do?

With the help of experienced teaching staff, SVRR trains such persons in various vocational fields as per their capability such as Waeving, Tailoring, Handicraft and making of Cardoard products.

Besides vocational training, we also undertake many other social cultural & educational activities which helps in trainees over all personality development.

Our Success Stories

Vijay Ramchandra Kulkarni

Vijay Ramchandra Kulkarni received the National Award on 03.12.2001 at the hands of Vice President –Shri Krishnkant for his outstanding performance in the most efficient disabled employee category. He is both mentally & physically disabled and has impaired speech.

Dilip Kashinath Labdhe

Dilip Kashinath Labdhe was bestowed Shri Bhikhubhai C. Shah Memorial Award in 2014 & Smt Nandini P. Divatia Rural Rehabilitation Award from RUDMI , Ahmedabad in 2016 under physically employed category.

Rajesh Jivraj Parmar

Rajesh, studied up to 7th std from Topiwala Municipal School , Grant Road, Mumbai. At the age of 23, he joined SVRR for vocational training. He was trained in SVRR stall for selling consumer items and also tailoring & office work. Seeing his interest in office work, he was absorbed in SVRR as a helper.

Ritesh Manohar Nikam

Born on 2nd Oct 1980, Ritesh Manohar Nikam stays with his parents grandmother, brother, Sister in law & two nephews. He was a normal child by birth but when he was six months old a month long treatment for high fever affected his brain. He was diagnosed with intellectual disability.
