Vocational Training
With the help of experienced teaching staff, SVRR trains such persons in various vocational fields as per their capability.
The articles prepared by them are sold at various exhibitions as also to the visitors, friends and well wishers of SVRR. We also get regular orders from SBI, Shah Bros Ispat Ltd., Dr Chilay, Ginitex, Ohm Stock Brokers, N. M. Patwa, SKM Steel Ltd, R. P. Shah & Company etc.
Cardboard
Making of Writing Pads, Folders and all types of Files for Banks, Hospitals, Industries, Entrepreneurs etc. and other items as per order.
Weaving
Weaving of Asan (from wool) & Floor Dusters, Yoga Mats, Towels & Kitchen Napkin (all from Cotton) on Peddle Looms and doormats on Table Looms.
Tailoring
Here they are trained to stitch Kitchen Napkins, Aprons, Different types of bags from Cotton, Denim, Jute and Non-woven Fabrics, Purses, Batwaa, Pouches, Fridge Bags, Saree Covers.
Handicraft
They learn to make Newspaper bags, Gift bags, Envelopes, Agarbattis, Decoration of Diyas, Torans & Latkan ,Different types of Trays, Cane Basket etc.
Social & Cultural Activities
Besides vocational training, we also undertake many other social cultural & educational activities which helps in trainees over all personality development. The morning assembly starts with prayers & yoga. They participate in various talents & sports competitions organised by Lion & Rotary Clubs and the Cricket Tournament organized by Kamayani Institute, Pune. Our trainees have won number of Prizes & trophies in these competitions. One of our trainee won Bronze Medal in Special Olympics held in China.
SVRR also organises every year
(i) Educational Tours for the trainees at important places
(ii) Award function in memory of its Vice President Late Shri Bhikhubhai C. Shah. The awards are given to Ex-trainees of SVRR who are self employed/employed and also to trainees from other organisations. Similarly in memory of our Ex. Vice President and Trustee Late Shri Prabodh J. Shah an Award is given to the Best Instructor/ Staff Member of SVRR. Our Exe. Vice President Smt Shruti Medh also gives cash award to our Sports Participants in memory of her husband Late Shri Rameshbhai Medh.
